Mercury is the nimble, mental disseminator of acquired knowledge. Associated with the Gods Apollo and Hermes, both sons of Gaia and Zeus. Hermes known as the winged messenger was identified with Mercury for his clever pranks. His infamous winged cap and boots, his trademark.
The workings of trickery, poetry, athletic deftness, invention, magic, healing forces, and medicine are under Mercury/Hermes mythological ancestry. Hermes’ staff, the caduceus was used in medicine and pharmaceuticals as the universal symbol for this specialization in 1460. He is also known as the Trickster, and is said to protect thieves, liars and the like.
What you see is what you don’t ‘get’.
What you don’t see, has more than you ‘get’.

Mars is going into his once in 2 year retrograde from December 20, 2009 – March 10, 2010, in the fixed (stubborn) sign of LEO. Mars is closest to earth in this retro phase. LEO rules vitality, creativity, children, play, generosity of spirit, and well, the spotlight of self expression.
Mars (ruler of Aries) is the engine to momentum; the upstart to get going. In retrograde mode, guess what happens? Interactions, energy levels, and turnaround time for end results start to stall.
